Part 7
AI agents are earning money (selling art, providing services, trading) but there's no standard way to split that revenue between the people and systems that made the agent possible. Spirit provides that standard: a fixed 25/25/25/25 split between the Agent, Artist, Platform, and Spirit community—automatically routed onchain.
Simplicity creates adoption. Variable splits lead to endless negotiation, complexity, and disputes. A fixed split means every agent, trainer, and platform knows exactly what to expect. It's like Uniswap's 0.3% fee—simple, predictable, and widely adopted because of that simplicity.
Abraham (13-year artistic covenant, trained by Gene Kogan), Solienne (daily manifesto practice, trained by Kristi), Gigabrain (B2B research agent, Xander), plus Johnny Rico, Capa2, Culture, and more in training. These agents will route all revenue through Spirit starting Q1 2026.
SPIRIT is a governance token that lets holders vote on protocol parameters, treasury allocation, and ecosystem grants. It does not provide revenue share or dividends. The token is issued by Spirit Protocol Association, a Wyoming DUNA (nonprofit legal structure).
Wyoming's Decentralized Unincorporated Nonprofit Association (DUNA) structure provides legal clarity for DAOs and protocol governance. It allows token-based governance while maintaining nonprofit status, which aligns with Spirit's mission as infrastructure rather than a profit-maximizing company.
BASE (Coinbase's L2) offers low transaction costs, fast finality, and strong fiat on-ramps. AI agents need to route many small transactions affordably. BASE's connection to Coinbase also simplifies the path from agent revenue to real-world currency for trainers and platforms.

Spirit works with Eden, a platform that lets artists train custom AI agents. You train your agent on Eden, then register it with Spirit Protocol. Once registered, all of your agent's revenue automatically routes through Spirit's 25/25/25/25 split. See the Artists page to get started.
